It’s finally here.

The long awaited 4th project from Kendrick Lamar that was nothing more than a rumor a few weeks ago has arrived.  The album is 14 tracks long and only contains two features, one from Rihanna and an eye-raising feature from U2.

Kendrick never misses and there’s no reason to think this album will be any different.

Childish Gambino Previews New Album Artwork, Drops First Single ‘Me and Your Mama’

Last night, Childish Gambino took to Twitter to hint that he is dropping music for the first time in a long, long, loooong, time.  The tweet is an image of what was later confirmed to be the new artwork and with the caption “…Awaken, My Love!”, the title of his upcoming album.

The song premiered on Zane Lowe’s ‘Beats1 Radio’ on Apple Music, with Zane confirming the track would be off of the forthcoming album.  Zane was clearly feeling the new music, and played it back a record 6 times in a row before moving on to a new song.

Gambino has quietly kept himself hard at work, between Atlanta, his new show on FX that  just wrapped up it’s first season, and his Pharos festival that took over SoCal and sold out in 6 minutes. Rumors had been spreading  about new music coming out, but last nights tweet was the first real hint from the man himself.

Word on the street is that “…Awaken, My Love!” is dropping on December 2nd. Hopefully that’s true because as great of an actor Donald Glover is, we are in some serious need of new music from him

Check the song above and let me know what you think.

Boogie Drops 2 New Songs: “Catching Feelings” ft. Tink, and “Out My Way (Bitter Raps 2)”

Compton rapper Boogie has become on of the countries hottest new rappers. After two incredible tapes with Thirst 48 and The Reach during the last couple of years, Boogie is showing early in 2016 that he shouldn’t be slept on.  Yesterday he dropped two new singles, “Catching Feelings” and “Out My Way (Bitter Raps 2)”. Both songs are incredible, and if you haven’t checked Boogie out yet, now is a damn good time to start. Continue reading

Listen Up: Favorite Songs From The Past Week

So this is a new thing I’m going to be putting together every week, or at least I’ll try to.  As a new music blog, I think I need to just push out as much new music as possible.  I’ll learn to write about music a little more effectively, you get some great new music to listen to. It’s a win-win situation as far as I’m concerned.

Basically what this is going to be is a collection of all of my favorite songs from the past week.  I’m going to try and stick to a week cut-off, but if I find a new song that’s too good to not put up, there might be some songs from the past that make the cut.  Without further ado, lets dive into this. Enjoy it, and lemme know what you think.

Untitled 02 | 06.23.2014 – Kendrick Lamar

So Kendrick came out of nowhere and gave us Untitled Unmastered, a nice little album of a bunch of extra songs from the To Pimp A Butterfly studio sessions.  Continue reading

Screenshot from 2016-02-15 18:20:47.png

***DISCLAIMER***    I was halfway through writing this up when I saw an update saying the album that is out for streaming now is not the final product.  I’m not sure how true that is going to end up being, if it changes I’ll just do an update on all of this. Can’t complain about more Kanye.

It’s finally here.  After a long, confusing, and complicated roll-out. The Life of Pablo is finally here.  The album formally known as “So Help Me God”, “SWISH”, and “Waves” comes to us on an exclusive stream on TIDAL.
